You may know that many everyday people have made the switch from traditional tobacco cigarettes to E-cigarettes, but did you know that many celebrities have also made the switch? As electronic cigarettes are becoming more and more popular as a tobacco harm reduction produce, many celebrities are embracing them and ditching the stinky tobacco cigarettes. Read on to learn about three celebrities who ditched tobacco for good and made the change to e-cigarettes.

1. Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl, 37, is an actress and model who, most recently, starred in the popular television drama Grey’s Anatomy, where she played the role of Izzie Steven’s from 2005 to 2010.

However, she began her career as a child model when she was just eight-years-old. After a couple of jobs modeling for catalogs, she soon landed a role on a television commercial, and then, she landed her first movie role when she was just 14 and starred in That Night.

Katherine has never spoken about when and why she started smoking cigarettes, but many young models have stated that they smoke to help prevent weight gain and stave off boredom when waiting for their turn to walk the fashion runways.

Katherine made the switch from tobacco cigarettes to E-cigarettes in 2010, and soon after, stated that they helped her quit smoking tobacco cigarettes due to the fact that vaping makes her “feel like” shes smoking, even though she is just inhaling and exhaling vapor.

2. Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen, 51, son of actor Martin Sheen, started acting in movies when he was just 19. His first movie role was a big one, and he starred in Red Dawn along with already famous actors Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

He has been in the public spotlight ever since he first appeared on camera, and over the years, some of that attention has been focused on his craft, and some on his crazy antics.

Charlie has begun to tame his wild ways, and one way he has done that is by switching from tobacco cigarettes to E-cigarettes. Charlie actually grew to love electronic cigarettes so much that he started his own line of disposable e-cigs called NicoSheen. While the brand failed and Nicosheen went out of business, Charlie still enjoys vaping.

3. Katy Perry

Katy Perry stated that she began smoking cigarettes to “calm her nerves” while she was experiencing a lot of stress while planning her wedding to Russel Brand. However, her excuse has never sat well with the parents of the teenage fans of the pop idol who don’t want their impressionable teenagers emulating her smoking habit.

It is rumored that she tried many tactics to kick the habit, including hypnosis. Hypnosis for smoking cessation is very popular in Hollywood, and two celebrities who claim to have quit smoking after hypnosis include Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

While she has never made a public statement about how she finally stopped smoking, numerous photos have recently revealed that she now uses an E-cigarette.  Vape starter kit is a great alternative to quit smoking.

However, due to being a fashion icon, she likely has E-cigarettes of other colors to match her various ensembles. She may even have a few “blinged out” electronic cigarettes covered in rhinestones.

Just like more and more everyday people are making the switch from traditional tobacco cigarettes to E-cigarettes, so are many celebrities. Additional celebrities who have either stated that they vape or been captured in photographs puffing on E-cigs include Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, and even Jack Nicholson.

They likely got tired of stinking up movie and music video sets with that smelly tobacco smoke and producing second-hand smoke that they didn’t want to expose their family and friends to.
