Flip the Coin and Your Energy
By Stacy Vajta

There comes a point in our healing process where we straddle the line between two sides of the same energetic lesson, and we have the choice to flip the coin …and our energy.

When looking at this energetically, this point often holds a strong “palpable” energy and a deep still point that re-sets everything. And, what comes out of this shift, or flipping of the energy, is a very potent spiritual “aha.”

I’ve had moments like this; they’re powerful points of change. They’re usually preceded by a lot of struggle, and eventually a greater amount of surrender. Yet, the “aha” comes through with a simple recognition that there are two sides to every energy. And as Spirit, we can learn from either side of this energetic coin. And in fact, Spirit has most likely been patiently waiting for us to “get this” and jump sides.

I think about this a lot in my own healing when I find I’m struggling. I notice more and more now where I recognize I’m falling into the “learning from the negative” viewpoint. I catch myself thinking that overcoming pain or struggle is what brings on meaningful lessons. And just writing that here makes me cringe! It sounds like “old energy” thinking, and I feel a deep welling up within me that this is not the way it needs to be.

Not that everything is all pie-in-the sky living, but what about learning from ease, abundance and joy? What about stepping across that imaginary line into the positive aspects of an energy and seeing what can be learned from there?

You may be thinking Karma right about now. It popped into my head as well. But I have to really stop and question that because that feels like a knee-jerk response – on my part anyway. It’s a cop-out when it comes to my own struggles. It keeps me in a place of complacency; where I don’t honestly look at what I am choosing, and what I acknowledge as my surrendering into what feels comfortable.

This flipping of the coin takes risk. It takes a willingness to activate some new neural pathways in the brain and re-shape our thinking. There’s some re-framing that must go on too.

We can flip our thinking to recognize that we can still learn about something without the struggle and the hardship by crossing over into the other side of the same thing. We can learn about money by being in survival, or in flow. We can learn about our empowerment by staying hidden, or by stepping up. And this flipping of the energetic coin transposes this energy at a very deep level which changes our inner game.

Working with energy gives us a fun laboratory to work with, and that’s what I love about it. This is a type of energy work, where we approach our healing from a much bigger sense of Self and observe what is really there, lets us work with energy as a tool.

We get to observe how our own energy feels when we bring in the energetic vibration of success, empowerment, trust…whatever is on the flip side of what we experience that bogs us down. And we get to vibrationally “test out” how well we can hold that energy to know where our healing is at, and what we need to work through to get the full flip!

That’s how we get to the actually flipping of the energy. Sometimes it comes quickly and sometimes it takes more focus, honest introspection and healing. But we can indeed get ourselves to a point where our energy and awareness shifts to the other side, and our Spirit deeply recognizes a lesson learned where we hold a broader canvas from which to learn what is left for us to understand.

So my challenge to you (and myself as well) is to look where you may be able to flip your own energetic coins.

Start with where you are and what you are working on in your life, and ask the Universe to show you evidence of the awareness you need in a soft, gentle, easy, abundant fashion. Look for it.

And simultaneously look within at where you may be holding tight to the challenge, the struggle or the fear and ask yourself if you are willing to let that go. Listen for the truth to that answer as your mind will say yes, but your energy must be the one to decide.

Then work there, all the while re-framing and staying focused on what it would be like to flip your energetic coin, and experience life from the other side of this energy you have been so entrenched in.

  • Do you believe you will still learn from this?
  • Can you imagine life from this vantage point?
  • Does your energy rebel or accept that notion?
  • Can you recognize at a very deep level that both experiences can take you to the same place?

Just a few thoughts to think about!

Play with this. Let yourself imagine that there is indeed a threshold that you can pass over to an energetic experience that holds you in a totally different light. ♥
