Life As A Psychic Reader

As a little girl, it was common for me to hear voices and have visions. My mom, grandmother and the women before her had their share of unusual experiences, so mine were accepted as normal for our household. As a child growing up in Britain, my mom used to sneak down the stairs to watch her mom working as a medium at the kitchen table. My mother later regaled me with stories of ghostly visitations of her own. I was allowed to explore my gifts and was never ridiculed for my instances of clairvoyance and clairaudience.

Despite my mom’s best efforts, I had a difficult and abusive childhood that I survived by connecting to spirit. It was realization of the divine that kept me alive during some very painful situations. As a child, I spent a lot of time on my own, writing poetry, taking long walks in the woods, and meditating. Spiritual experiences that connected me to universal love made me feel supported when there was no one else to whom I felt I could turn.

I married at 18 and began having children when I was 21. It was an unhappy marriage that left me a single mother with four children between the ages of 4 and 9. I went through the financial and emotional hardship of divorce while raising my kids, going back to school, and finding work at a software company and later as a university administrator. Beginning a promising career with only a high school education and a year of university, I started to believe that anything was possible.

Ten years after my divorce, I found love in my husband, Paul, who has supported my switch in vocation to that of a psychic reader and healer. After many years working in a cubicle and doing readings part-time, I chose to dedicate myself to helping others to find joy in their lives. It’s helped me to put to good use the hard experiences life has given me, and it’s enabled me to use my skills as a reader in a way that is, I believe, useful to others.

Today, my children are grown and have moved away, and I am able to spend most of my time giving readings, teaching courses on developing intuition, writing my books, and walking in the woods with my husband and our dogs. Life has come full circle, and I have the joy each day of doing the work I love.

What I most enjoy about working as a psychic reader is helping others to discover the power within themselves to transform their lives. I can see what incidents in their childhoods affect their current behaviour and what future probabilities are available to them if they do the work to shift patterns that no longer serve them. I help my clients go from surviving life’s difficulties to thriving.

While I’m consulted often regarding love relationships, I’m also asked for feedback on hiring decisions, career moves and promotions, office relationship dynamics, and spiritual paths. Regardless of the question, it’s an honour to be a witness to the personal and professional triumphs of each person with whom I interact.
