What is this about?
Hello Light Worker’s World. In this post I am going to briefly discuss with you the wondrous beauty of the Heart Chakra. I will briefly touch on what happens when this chakra is not balanced, how to keep it balanced or restore it, and its relationship to the planet/goddess Venus.
As an astrologer, I cannot mention the Heart Chakra’s connection to the “goddess” know as “Venus” without mentioning its connection to the Zodiac sign of Libra and its sibling sign Taurus. The Heart Chakra is like the conductor of the symphony of your body, the motherboard of a computer or a star in a solar system. Now that you understand this key point, scan the list below to briefly see the association of the other seven chakras that are commonly discussed.
The Crown Chakra—Rainbow—Pisces—Cosmic Consciousness, Awareness
✓ The Brow Chakra—Indigo—Aquarius—Intuition, Sixth sense
✓ The Throat Chakra —Blue—Taurus—Creativity and Inspirations
✓ The Heart Chakra—Green—Libra—Health, Joy, Compassion
✓ Solar Plexus Chakra—Yellow—Leo—Self-Expression, Vitality
✓ The Sacral Chakra—Orange—
✓ The Root Chakra—Red—Sex and Survival
When one thinks of the heart chakra, (sometimes called the “Anahata”), think GREEN. Green as in optimum health and wellness or as in watery, lush, healthy sprouts and leafy greens. Greens that are full of the chlorophyll produced by the kiss of the sun though a process that we call photosynthesis in science. Those of you who eat lots of sprouts and enjoy wheat grass, know exactly what I am talking about. Most green fruits and vegetables are the best form of raw energy that can immediately help to tune up the most important muscle in the body, ♥THE HEART.♥
Hear Like a Wheel
The energy wheel of the heart chakra in theory, is that which manifests the physical heart and therefore controls, circulation, blood, lymphatic system. This chakra also governs the in take of substance through the lungs and kidneys and cycles it out of the body through elimination of waste in order to optimize your body’s functions. Since the Heart Chakra is considered the bridge between the lower physical chakras and the upper spiritual chakras, it is said to serve as the energetic wheel that powers the body’s etheric merkabah while serving as a celestial anchor to mother earth. This chakra is not just connected to your physical health, but it is associated with your emotional and psychological well-being as well as your spiritual center. There is a strong belief among many light workers that this bio-electric energy matrix is also supposed to have a subsequent effect on the earth and collective consciousness among all sentient beings. So it stands to reason that this can be regarded as another “micro” eco-system that one must be aware of if humanity is to (re)learn to live in harmony with nature.
Its Not Always Easy Being Green
The Heart Chakra is supposed to regulate the nexus of your spiritual and physical highs and lows. SO that means that this chakra is responsible for both your JOY and your GRIEF. Like all events in life’s journey, there is a need for the balance of both positive and negative experiences to help you to develop the knowledge, skills, maturing, and adaptability necessary to lead a healthy life. This is why many people in the Light Worker community use mantras and affirmations because the repetition of key words remind us of the lessons that we have already learned. With each life experience, one gains greater insight to why certain lessons or themes keep coming back up until the person choses to respond differently to the challenge. Don’t despair, you will not always make the best choice. If you chose to learn from the experience, that experience may become the foundation of your future success.
Be Green: The Heart Chakra and The Earth
Since the heart chakra is considered the main conductor of the body, Reiki practitioners, massage therapists, crystal healers and other light workers know that much is possible when the heart is open. Some argue that you don’t need to be entirely open to benefit from light work. Like the earth has its own frequency or heartbeat called the Schumann Resonance (7.83 Hertz), each of our hearts has its own unique signature frequency, just like a finger print. The human heart beats on average about *72 beats a minute. This frequency is in sync with the meridians or 72,000 nadis that flow through out the chakras. While the meridians or nadis cannot be measured or quantified for the sake of western beliefs, it is important to know that these are the channels of movement that are impacted by sound and vibration. Each chakra is actually a sound note that is supposed to align that given chakra. The Heart Chakra’s frequency is 639 Hertz or cycles per second.
The Frequency of Healing and Balance
I could go on about the heart chakra for the next four blog posts but I leave you with the heart chakra’s connection to Venus and the zodiac sign of Libra. Libra is ruled by the Venus and is considered to be an “Air” sign. This is a zodiac sign of intellect, but it is also the element of life. The crown or mind is supposed to represent the fire of animation while the water of the sacral chakra is supposed to represent our fluid bodies on earth. Just like the Yang energy represents the heavens, the yin energy is supposed to represent earth. The Venus or Heart Chakra connection acts as a sacred hoop that binds the spiritual chakras to the physical chakras in a Vesica Piscis structure. Think of it as the Solar Plexus energy of empowerment and manifestation meeting the power of the spoken word that one often hears about in religious and spiritual texts.
Here are some crystals that serve you well in heart chakra meditations.
Crystals: Rose Quartz, Green Aventurine (Scorpio Capricorn), Jade (Libra)
Remember that the Heart Chakra is your central processing unit. You can eat the right foods, do the correct exercises and do the right meditations to keep in optimum balance. But the key is to learn to make all of your decisions out of LOVE and not fear. Venus, Aphrodite, Ixchel, Freja, Yemanja, or Gaia are all archetype forms of the mother goddess and sacred feminine that is the guiding force of this chakra. So it is imperative that you live your life as true to your heart as possible. This means acting with the self-empowerment of the Solar Plexus and the inspiration and musings of the Throat Chakra. The Heart Chakra, like Venus ruled Libra and the sacred archetype Ma’at, serve as a reminder that you must keep your yin and yang forces in balance.
