“Clutter clearing is modern day alchemy.” Denise Linn
We are in a new cycle, and that means it’s time to start clutter clearing, (although, anytime is a good time for releasing the old)! If you’re like me, you are more than ready to shed the old layers of yuck and usher in new positive energies!
Why clutter clearing so transformational
Our surroundings deeply impact our energy levels, and mirror what is going on inside of us. When you clear your surroundings, you clear yourself, you clear your life. When you release the old, you make way for new experiences and opportunities to flow into your life.
Tips for creating a fruitful clutter clearing endeavor:
-Narrow your scope to one space at a time. Begin with either one room, or even just one dresser drawer. This way, you will be less likely to get overwhelmed and throw in the towel altogether.
-Start in your bedroom-it is the most personal space, and will therefore have the most powerful impact energetically.
-Put some cedar wood essential oil in the diffuser. It is a calming, yet powerful purifier.
-Burn some sage to cleanse your space from floor to ceiling as the smoke rises.

-Energy up/energy down exercise. If you have a hard time deciding what stays and what goes, this activity can be very helpful. Go through the room that you are clearing and either touch or pick up the item(s) in question. Take a deep breath and ask yourself ‘energy up, or energy down? Your physical body will give you the answer. If you feel your heart expand with love and joy, this item is worth keeping. If you feel tightness in your abdomen throat or heart, or just feel heaviness, say good bye to that item for good!
-Enlist a friend to help you. For those of us that have great difficulty letting go of material items, an outsider can really help give you clear perspective on the matter. A good friend will set you straight on your hording ways. “Honestly, no one needs three toasters, two waffle irons and 30 tablecloths unless you’re running a bed and breakfast.” Okay, good point put ‘em in the go pile.
-Get rid of it fast! Once you’ve got the clutter boxed or bagged, don’t let it hang around, take it to your vehicle so that you are forced to bring it to the donation center ASAP. Even organized clutter is still clutter.
-Bless your space. Begin by burning some sweet grass, it will carry your prayers and decrees up to the heavens. Sit in a comfortable position and take several deep breaths. Call on your guides, the angels, ascended masters and all beings of light to fill your space with pure love and light. Tell them what you wish to bring into your space. A sense of peace, maybe more joy, laughter and passion. Tell them whatever your heart desires. Allow yourself to truly feel the presence of these delightful energies in body and in your space. And so it is. You and your space are renewed with vibrant energy and ready to move onto the next chapter of your life! Blessings to you and all your new ventures!
