A Practice For Handling Change with Ease

When you’re worried about some sort of change or unknown outcome, here is a powerful practice. Ask: What feeling am I avoiding in this situation?
But here is the key:  Don’t answer with words.  Just ask and be still.  Give attention to your body.  Feel your answer.. breathe… Go into your Heart. There is energy there. A fire, a spark…

You can do it.  You can feel the answer and the spark.  It may be small, but it’s there.

Let what’s in your Heart WASH OVER your thoughts.  This empowers you to handle change with grace and ease.  Turn your thoughts over to your Heart and you then enjoy the journey and the flow of life.

This sets in motion a new thought stream and a path to inner calm during times of change.

“The circumstances of the world are so variable that an irrevocable purpose or opinion is almost synonymous with a foolish one.”  ~William H. Seward

((( Suggested Practice ))))    Think of one opinion you have of another person.  Perhaps you think your boss is controlling, or your parents are stubborn, or your friend is too anxious…    Whatever it is, realize deeply it is just one idea, one viewpoint.  It is NOT stuck on you or on the other person.  It’s a tinted window you are looking through, that is all.
Realize deeply and beyond doubt it is not you.  This gives you some “space” between your thoughts and your entire self.  Thoughts arise and subside….  but they are not you….

“Sometimes it’s the smallest decisions that can change your life forever.” ~Keri Russell

“Change is the essence of life. Be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become.” ~Author Unknown

“True creative power, truly manifesting positive creations in your life, always happens from a state of simplicity and ease. It is precisely when you feel totally relaxed and divinely careless about things, not forcing yourself to do or be anything, that you attract the most positive changes in your life.”  ~ Pamela Kribbe/Mary

“Awakening is to simply Be who we are, without trying to change anything.”  ~Cathy Rosewell Jonas  (For more info about Cathy, visit her website here:  Cathy Rosewell Jonas)

quotes about change

“The first step toward change is acceptance. Once you accept yourself, you open the door to change. That’s all you have to do. Change is not something you do, it’s something you allow.” ~Will Garcia, person with AIDS

Do you agree with the above quote?  Consider this:  Judgments don’t help us change at all, in fact they do the opposite.  They lock us into old patterns.  Judgments give us a false sense of security because they are familiar.  But really they don’t support positive reality changes at all.

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” ~Helen Keller

“When patterns are broken, new worlds emerge.” ~Tuli Kupferberg

“When you take an unusual action, or do something outside of your usual M.O., you can spark a total change in your reality and living situation.  Be willing to do something differently than how you have done things before. Be open to new intuitions and inner signals. Feed  yourself with books, talks, and new ideas that lead to new Actions that you have not thought of before. Newness and Spontaneity are key to inner and outer transformation.”  ~Michael Alperstein

“They are people like you. Do not make them “they” and you “us.” You are all “they,” you are all “us.” Be your governments- express what you truly prefer. If you wish to make changes, then unify and make them. If you wish to express what you prefer to your governments, express it. When the people lead, the leaders will follow. So lead the way” ~Bashar/Darryl Anka

“The world is more malleable than you think and it’s waiting for you to hammer it into shape…” ~Bono

(( ~ May today be a day to honor wonderful changes and leaps you have made. ~ ))

Take a minute to reflect inward and say to yourself: “I’m no longer afraid of such and such… I am not scared to sing my song, put my foot in my mouth, share my creative endevors, set boundaries with my family, speak my mind, be authentic…”

There is no doubt that many old habits that no longer serve you have ALREADY left you. Your Life is ON TRACK and ON TIME.

Take a moment to breathe and honor the flow of transformation through time. Feel it.  Allow it.  Embrace it.

Everything flows and changes.  Let the river of life be as it is.

This practice and cultivation of gratitude for changes you have made, sets a tone for additional positive change and lasting fulfillment.

“Go further than you planned. Ask for the moon: you will be surprised how often you get it.” ~Paulo Coelho

“The world’s changing, changing for you.”  ~Collective Soul

“In true dialogue, both sides are willing to change.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Suggested Exploration:

What old identities, roles, or labels would be helpful to let go of?  Take a moment to think of a few labels you have affixed to yourself.  How do you “categorize” yourself and your life?  Sit with this question for a moment.

Then become willing to step outside labels such as “mother” “father” “office worker” “entrepreneur” etc…
Consider that these are just thoughts and not actually a permanent thing or something carved in stone.

“When you are comfortable with inner change, you naturally become comfortable and at ease with outer change.”  ~Michael Alperstein

Notice your deepest Self, your inner Light, strength, beauty and wisdom have NEVER been encapsulated by a role you have played.
Make it your practice today to shed old ideas of yourself…   Delete them.  Change them…  Shape-shift them, like looking up at a cloud and seeing a new shape come alive….
You can do it.
Be what you know yourself to be, the YOU you have known all along.
Love and Blessings,
Light Workers World
